How Can You Research Penny Stocks?
There are quite a few ways to research Micro Cap Stocks. You can go ahead and call the company itself (quite often, it will be the CEO himself on the phone). You can email the company with questions and concerns. You can talk to other fellow traders on message boards. You can go ahead and look at the message boards for information that has been provided in terms of pinned posts and company profile. You can visit the OTCMarkets.com website and do a search for the company stock ticker that you are looking for, there you can look at the company’s profile. Check out the company filings and press releases (also on OTCMarkets.com)
This day and age though, I find Google to be a very good resource for finding facts out about a company. Quite often, you can just search for the company’s name or stock ticket on Google, and you will be presented with hundreds, if not thousands of different results filled with information. Now, one must be careful to not believe every little thing that they read on the world wide web. The internet is filled with people’s opinions. If you look at websites like MarketWatch.com, Nasdaq.com, Yahoo Finance and other bigger sites, chances are that the information presented there is somewhat accurate.
But I really do believe that, if you can get it from the horse’s mouth (company itself), there is a good chance that you can get a pretty good idea of what is going on.
